February – the Month of Love & We Love our Firefighters

Firefighters are givers. They give of their time, their expertise, their compassion, and most importantly, themselves. They give selflessly and never, ever look for anything in return. So . . . when they receive a thank you or just a tiny bit of appreciation from the citizens they serve, it means more than a thousand awards or the certificates they garner.

Since February is the month of love, why not show a little love to your local firefighters. You might try taking some cookies, brownies, donuts, etc. by your local fire station.  I like to take fixin’s for queso along with dipping chips for something a little different. But their very, VERY favoritist thing is . . . BlueBell ice cream! It doesn’t matter the temperature outside, BlueBell is always a tremendous hit. It is the crem de la crem at the fire station. And don’t worry about the flavor – any flavor will do.

So take a few minutes and show a little love and appreciation to the men and women firefighters who work so selflessly all hours of the day and night to protect and serve their community.
