SO . . . WHAT DID YOU THINK ?
Have you had the opportunity to read Brothers in Service – Through Thick & Thin, yet – the second book in the Beyond the Badge series? If so, what did you think? Did you enjoy it? I really hope so! The story of best friends Riley Sullivan, Jeremy Ennis and Cade Marshall is one of relationships on many levels. The novel has its humorous as well as intense moments. There’s also action and then there’s romance. There’s a little something in it for everyone! And I’m very happy to say it’s getting some very powerful reviews.
As an author, it is mainly up to me to market and promote the book, something that doesn’t come easily for me. One of the most important aspects of marketing a newly-released book (or any book for that matter), is getting reviews. How hard can that be you might think. An individual reads your book, loves it and if you’re like me, you want to tell the world about it so others can have the same enjoyable reading experience you did. Easy – right? Well, no – actually not. While some find leaving a review simple, to the majority of others it’s a bit of an intimidating undertaking.
Most people fall in the latter category. There are a number of reasons for this. Everyone is busy and it’s just too much to undertake “just one more thing.” And if you don’t leave a review as soon as you finish the book, it’s hard to remember to go back and do it. And a biggee – it’s intimidating to come up with what to say. But do you know what’s really interesting? When people talk about my book – whether it’s to me in person, a comment on Facebook or other social media or in an email, THAT’S the perfect thing to put into a review comment! Boom – done!!
Amazon is just one location to post a review. There are also Barnes & Noble, Goodreads, BookBub and any other places where people go to look for their next book to read. Any of these sites are great and all reviews are GREATLY appreciated!
To try and help with the process, I’ve included below the link to the Amazon review page for Brothers in Service and listed step by step instructions on how to post a review on Amazon. It’s really easy and getting your feedback and thoughts through a review would mean the absolute world to me!
Here we go:
https://www.amazon.com/review/create-review/?ie=UTF8&channel=glance-detail&asin=B0CNC6X16P
1) Click on the above link to the book’s review page.
2) Click on the star you feel the book warrants.
3) A review title can be something as simple as: Great Book – I Couldn’t Put It Down!
4) In the Comments block, copy and paste what you’ve already said about the book in a Facebook post or email; or type in what you’ve mentioned to me directly.
5) For “Your Name,” it can be something like Book Lover or first name/last initial or whatever you’d like to use. You don’t have to use anything fancy.
6) Click Submit.
7) You’re done!
It’s a simple process but the companies are always making changes so if you have any issues getting your review to post, please let me know and I’ll do my best to help. For any issues encountered, please send a screen shot to lindybellwr@gmail.com of how far you’ve gotten and the issues you’re having. No promises but I’ll do my best to help!
Thank you for reading my books and thank you for your time and willingness to share your thoughts in a review. You will be helping not only me, but most importantly, helping potential readers find a great book to read and enjoy!
