Did You Know . . . ?

You may already know this but I didn’t, and I think it’s so cool. Did you know the lines on the side of a school bus relay some very important information to first responders? Well, they certainly do!

The bottom line (the one just above the wheel well) shows where the floor of the bus is located. The next line (just below SCHOOL BUS) shows where the seat line is. The third line (just above SCHOOL BUS) shows where the top of the seats are located.

These lines let first responders know where it’s safe to cut in case of an accident.

All this time I had no idea just how important these lines truly are. Valuable information hiding in plain site. You just gotta know what to look for!
