Meet Lindy
Lindy’s lifelong love of reading is rivaled only by her enthusiasm for writing. According to Lindy, a story whose information is engaging and well written as well as emotionally impactful to the reader is the definition of a successful book. Whatever the subject, the writing should be heartfelt, real and relatable.
Lindy’s love for Jane Austen and all things related has spilled over into various Regency Era-related topics including the research of holidays of the era, as well as wedding traditions and customs, and how they were celebrated and appear in Jane Austen’s novels and personal letters.
Lindy also has a keen love of the fire service evident in her compelling portrayal of firefighters and life in the fire service in the Beyond the Badge series. The fire service is an important and influential part of Lindy’s life as her brother (a retired fire chief) and nephew (currently a lieutenant with the fire service) both serve the public with deep commitment and devotion.
Lindy grew up in New Mexico and is a graduate of Hobbs High School. She is also a graduate of Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. She currently lives in Plano, Texas and stays busy with writing her books, blog and newsletter. She also presents live book reviews to book clubs across the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and sometimes even a bit beyond.
Lindy enjoys the support of a loving family and generously acknowledges she wouldn’t be able to write the compelling stories her books portray without her family’s input, advice, and encouragement.
